Mondays feels like Thursday. Tuesdays are still just Tuesday. And Saturday and Sunday don't exist. I'm no. Where?

2009.
This may be offensive. It involves pee and erections. Continue at your own risk.

My New Years was, otherwise, pretty good.

That bitch divorced me! I don't know what I did! I gave her all the money she wanted! I laughed and joked with her and sometimes gave her shit. And we had two effing kids! She just up and left! I took her over to Fairfax Gardens because I knew she liked it there. When we got back home, she just took off! Now she's gone and so are the kids.
.. So what I'm a little evil? I'm trying to change! So what I've got scars on my face? I got these scars protecting your pretty little fucking village! (Disregard the other villages a few over that got destroyed by my hands when I got a little powerhungry. I'm past that now! I'm atoning for my past sins and I'm doin all the good I can!)
My skin may be tainted and purple but I'm rescuing slaves and I'm finding ancient relics. I'm fighting the good fight now. And for some reason I can never seem to lose weight. No matter how much running I do, no matter how healthy I eat, I still STILL look like a fat angry demonpirate!
I play the lute for the town every night and put on little plays for the childrens. Still. Evil devilpirate I remain.
I have a new wife now. Deborah. She's the local stylist. I bought us the nice house right across the street from her business. She likes my beard. We've got a child now too.
This one's considerably less evil than my previous one as well.
Oh. And I bought the local bar. I'm makin' fat cash whilst out protecting the land. I own the bar, and my wife, the salon. Free booze and haircuts for us both!
Once I get enough money I plan to donate to the Temple of Light. I hear it does good things for your skin. And perhaps I can rid myself of my past evils!
Well. I'm off to go rid Bowerstone of those goddamn hobbes again.

I don't know how to respond to a comment such as "You shoot better than your portfolio!"
I.. guess that's a compliment? It also means I don't know how to put shit in my portfolio? Sigh.
... So. I started at the Bay City Times this past Monday. (OMG I'm better than you (jk. (I always get that "i'm hot shit" vibe from people when they talk about new jobs/opportunities.))) I live in a duplex 5 blocks from a crackhouse. I spend most my days sitting in the office going "uhh.. should I be doing something?" I live with Scott, the other intern, from Iowa. He's pretty cool. Digs good music, into politics, shoots Canon, likes brews. Our house is super cheap. It was super cold the past few days, until our landlord finally turned our heat on. Now it's amazing. I love it. Working for a daily is cool. I'm excited to shoot something other than construction. :p Court got postponed, so I had to find a feature. Farmer's Market ftw. Then I had to shoot a sports portrait of two high school tennis players. (If you know me, you know I hate sports portraits.) I didn't even get any time to do anything with it. I had about 5 minutes to shoot. If that. The story was good though. (Jeff dug a sports story wtf?) Today I shot some construction on the new DEQ building. (Department of Environmental Quality or somethin like that?) The building is using recycled blue jeans as insulation, and will have solar panels and wind turbines powering 20% of their energy needs. Awesome. Then I had to hightail it to West Branch/the Savannah/the middle of fucking nowhere to find this Bed & Breakfast that also actually runs on renewable energy (awesommme). They live "off the grid" (whoa they got they own jive), so they use wind and solar and hydro energy to power their home. Very little solar though since it's super expensive to do anything of any worth with solar apparently. I learned quite a bit. Wind is unfortunately apparently as far as it can go for efficiency. Though I guess I'm down with that because I don't ever want wind turbines to go away. They are awesome. But solar still has plenty of room for improvements and advancements. Water, I can't remember. Might be the same as wind. However I did learn that apparently sailors can throw little turbines off the back of their boats as they sail so they can slowly generate some electricity for their boats as they sail. Awesome.
Whoa. 80s just came on my headphones.
Uhm. Now here I am. In the office. I'll upload some of the stuff I've shot later I think. Oh. The Bed & Breakfast story apparently isn't going in the paper. Bummer. It'll be going in the True North magazine. So. Unless I scan it in (which I guess I'll probably end up doing) none of you will get to see it. There was some neat photos from the day I feel.
Uhm. I'm always tired and I never have the energy to do anything and I hate getting up at 6 am.
Deadlines are coming up for Spring internships. Guess who's probably going to miss all of them. Life's hard. Real hard. It doesn't sound like it from this entry I suppose, but trust me.
Oh. I'm trying to write my own music now too. Don't ever let me write. I'm awful.

First today was hectic. Then okay. Then good. Then bad. Then mediocre. Then good. Then real bad. Then okay. Then better. Then real bad.
Still real bad.
I love Traverse City but if I continue to live in this house much longer, it will not be good for the world.
(get it. lamonde. the world. ha.
... actually that pun was unintentional but i like how it worked out.)
